Manga about secret celebrity relationships is probably my favourite genre right now

It's a cute sendoff for these characters but DANG it hurts my heart, there's still life in this story! They could do so much together still! Anyways Yen Press have 3 volumes out in English - so it will probably be wound up by this time next year, so its a good time to start collecting if you are a print media fan. This is a beautiful Yuri series about an idol who suddenly graduates and her growing relationship with manga editor roommate. deffo worth a read.

On the heterosexual side of things, 'On the Balcony Again Today' is still going strong. Nobody has picked this up yet for an official English release but SOMEONE DEFFO SHOULD its hella cute. This ones about a freelance designer slowly falling in love with his next-door neighbour after talking to her every night when they sit on their balconies. As they never really see each other face-to-face he never recognises that she is a mega-famous actor - THIS IS A CLASSIC SETUP IN THE GENRE, you gotta get the budding romance with the famous idol going BEFORE you know they are mega-famous otherwise its insincere and HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. But yeah, its ticks off so many boxes for what I want to see in a romance manga, cute characters talking things out and eating delicious foods. Recommended

Theres also some cool stuff in this genre happening in Korean Manhwa - Volume 4 of Imitation comes out at the end of a month and I CANT WAIT TO READ IT. Imitation comes at the genre from a bit of a different angle and focuses on secret relationships BETWEEN idols, rather than with regular people. I didn't think id be that into it but turns out all the inside baseball stuff in this story totally rules - whenever something like this really peels away at the backend operations of an industry it really gets my brain ticking, I wanna read something that just SMELLS of incredible levels of research ya know? Anyways volume 4 is scheduled for release on the 15th, so ill be reading the HECK out of it soon
