This Is Screwed up, but I Was Reincarnated As a Girl in Another World! Vol. 8

Its still good! We’re entering the blacksmithing arc here and it’s still as stupid and joyful as ever. I am REAL SAD that Ren’s two admirers from the starter town have gone back home and left her to her own devices. INCREDIBLY SAD - it was REALLY nice seeing her open up to those girls and heck I want my yuri content, but I guess it might never happen here - also doing the reverse isekai thing where you take fantasy world people and show them modern Japan is always my FAVOURITE isekai sub flavour, and REN’s pocket dimension house is essentially that - just without the actual dimension hopping... OH WELL, I just hope they will be back someday soon otherwise rip me I guess!

A Reincarnated Witch Spells Doom Vol. 2

This is a simple tale of shoujo-manga style pretty boys squabbling over a girl, except one of them is an actual dragon and also it’s an isekai. You know. Normal stuff. I don’t think this was as fun as the first volume, mostly because of all that straight energy going about, but heck! The next volume seems like it’s going to be all politics - so that’s fun! Our titular doom-witch seems to have the magic power to control dragons, sooooo the local king/queen combo (who seem kinda maybe just might be massive jerks) wanna abuse that power for world domination? So maybe we will get a little bit of skulduggery? Got my hopes up a little!

Keep these two dweebs as friends for as long as possible- 4 whole volumes with zero romantic overtones and then the last few chapters of volume 5? Just the lightest sprinkles. Just drifting closer together ever so slightly. THATS THE GOOD SHIT. Who cares if its straight if its handled THIS well.

Perfect World Vol. 7

The earthquake arc - wow heck what an emotional rollercoaster- and what a cliffhanger ending, with Tsugumi visiting Itsuki in Tokyo and telling him she has regrets with how things ended… it’s going to be messy next volume! This is also a case of WHO CARES if its straight this drama OWNS.

My Dear, Curse-Casting Vampiress, Vol. 2

Absolute GARBAGE. 7/10 fun read (garbage) for genre perverts only (the genre in question is GARBAGE)

The Eminence in Shadow Vol. 6 - 7

Dang every time I pick up a volume this thing just gets better and better. Cid’s Yandere sister is exceptionally unhinged in this volume, she’s deffo better in the manga version vs the anime.

Apart from that, it’s just so full of good moments and good bits- can’t wait for the second anime season to start streaming (so soon! (EDIT: Since writing the new season has started airing and it is VERY good))

Konosuba: Gods Blessing on this Wonderful World! Vol. 2

Still somehow okay? some pretty good bits in here too. Its wild how I find the anime WAY TO TEDIOUS to watch when I'm a massive genre pervert, but the audiobook is palatable. WEIRD.

My Quiet Blacksmith Life in Another World Vol. 2

Genre perverts only. Theres just kinda nothing to it. I do quite like some of these slow life genre stories, and obviously, I like isekai stories, so that's like two of my strike zone genres. IDK I like it a lot and I also do not recommend it?
